A Nusery Fit for a Princess

Designing a nursery is always a meaningful process—but when a space can be both functional for daily life and layered with personality, it’s something truly special. For this project in Tequesta, Florida, our client envisioned a room that felt soft and feminine without leaning too youthful or overly themed. The result? A nursery that’s timeless, textural, and full of charm—designed to grow gracefully right alongside baby.

From the start, we leaned into a palette of warm blush tones and natural textures. Soft pink grasscloth walls wrapped the room in subtle warmth, setting the perfect backdrop for layered details and curated moments. The custom cabinetry became a focal point, featuring white lacquered frames with woven cane panels and delicate brass hardware—equal parts utility and design statement.

We selected a floral dresser for the changing station, topped with a lucite tray for daily essentials, and flanked it with sweet botanical art framed in bamboo. The window treatments paired delicate palm-print drapery with natural woven shades, allowing light to filter through beautifully while keeping the room grounded in organic texture. A built-in reading nook and petite rattan play table add playful balance and future flexibility as the child grows.

The styling was kept minimal but intentional: soft linens, a few heirloom toys, and pale pink accents that echoed throughout the space. Every choice—from the cabinet hardware to the embroidered pillow fringe—was made to bring personality without sacrificing simplicity.
This nursery is a perfect example of how thoughtful design can elevate the everyday. It’s soft, serene, and entirely one-of-a-kind—just like the little one it was made for.
